In this way I want to answer a few questions that come back regularly from people who want to travel with the motorbike.
First let me introduce myself.
I am Guy Liebert, 50 years old and I have been riding with my bike since I was a child.
At the age of 20 bought a first motorcycle, a Yamaha XJ 750 then switch around my 28 years on a Yamaha V-max 1200.
Traveling has started with this bike. What immediately answered the question
Which motorbike can I travel with?
The V-max is a naked-bike pure-sang with a small action radius through its tank of 12 L + reserve. And yet I have traveled about 150,000 km with this muscle bike. So with some preparation you can start traveling with every motorcycle. The distance and available time of the trip will determine whether your motorcycle and yourself are suitable for the trip. I mean with a 125 cc bike you do not have to plan a journey of 900 km of motorway in one day. Or if you have never driven more than 200 km in one day, do not do it the first day of a trip, and drive more in the months to get used to the mileage.
But even if you have a race bike, you do not have to stop to travel, just ask Fireblade-Sjaak.
Traveling by motorbike is different from any other way of vacation.
The holiday IS the journey, and not the destination!
Where do we travel?
Keep in mind here the period and the location to determine this.
For example, I would not recommend going to Corsica in July or August, and this for the reason, too busy and too hot. Plan this for example in May or September.
Concretely: I myself and a few friends go to Greece in May 2018. This way we go over the preparation together and hopefully you have something at this so you can plan your own trip.
So with this the previous question of where are we going to travel answered.

How do we start?
In general we will plan the available time. We have 11 days of vacation, so driving there and back is not an option on this period of time.
After some search work I found a good solution and booked it immediately.
A boat that sails from Venice (Italy) to Patra (Greece).
In general, the route will look like this
Day 1 + 2: Brussels – Venice via highway
Day 3: Boat Italy-Greece
Day 4 to 11: Greece-Brussels
Just to inform, my current travel bike in no longer the V-max, but a BWM R 1200 GS
