June 2018 Important notice: Disruption to Akrapovič Production Facility Dear Akrapovič Business Partners, On Friday, 8 June 2018, we experienced a severe weather event in Črnomelj, Slovenia, where Akrapovič’s main production plant is located. These unusual and extreme meteorological conditions brought all manufacturing at our state-of-the-art facility to an immediate halt. A severe storm struck the region where the Akrapovič production plant and warehouse is located around 4.00 pm on Friday. With heavy rain and freak hailstones the size of tennis balls, the storm damaged more than four hundred buildings and many cars, and it completely destroyed crops in the vicinity. Fortunately for all concerned, nobody was injured. Akrapovič incurred damage to the roofing of the production facility and logistics centre during the storm, and due to the roof damage there was flooding in the production floor area. As a result of these events, we halted production immediately for the safety of our employees and to assess the damage. We immediately started steps to repair the damage in the production hall, and we plan to have the facilities operating at full capacity as soon as possible. The full extent of the damage will become apparent in the upcoming days, and as our valued partner you may face delays in the delivery of goods promised. We ask for your patience and understanding due to this event while we endeavour to minimize any disruptions faced. We regularly get the question about what is the difference between the Euro3 and the Euro4 silencers.
Here the clarification.
The biggest difference between the two versions is the removable db-killer.
It is no longer removable on the Euro4.
From 1 January 2017, the new motorbikes are therefore subject to the Euro4 standard. This new standard therefore requires that the db-killer can no longer be removed without causing damage in order to be able to remove it. There are still a large number of models of motorcycles that are unchanged (as far as the exhaust is concerned) since the introduction of this standard, I just think of the MT-07, MT-09, BWM GS1200, etc …
For these bikes there are usually 2 versions available in the exhausts, Euro 3 and Euro4 (for models from 2017 onwards). Concretely, therefore, the Euro3 versions apply to this, they are only not legal.
For the new models after 2017 there will only be a Euro 4 silencer available. So keep in mind that your new silencer can have a welded db-killer. Some brands still make it quite easy to remove them, while others find it a lot harder or sometimes impossible to take them out. So, in case of doubt, ask a question!

ACF-50 (Anti Corrosion Formula) was developed to protect aircraft and their electrical systems from corrosion. Aerospace products meet the highest performance standards and for more than 25 years ACF-50 has continued to meet or exceed those requirements.
ACF-50 uses on motorcycles are very similar to those on aircraft. Sprayed into the structure, joints and welds, under the tank and seat and all electrical connectors, where corrosion happens unnoticed. ACF-50will work to prevent corrosion and structural degeneration.
